As VP Awards starts making headways, the jury members, who have accomplished the task of shortlisting and nominating the aspiring entries, sound positive with the initiative. Here’s what Mr. Sudershan Binani of Himalaya Optical, Kolkata has to say…
The Jury Meeting, held on 27th December 2013 at – Marigold Business Centre, J W Marriott, Juhu, Mumbai, witnessed the jury excited and gladly surprised as they saw numerous entries ready to be rated and eventually nominated. The nominations has concluded for the 25 categories and the gates are already open since January 1 2014 for the public online voting. The optical fraternity seems to be excited as this event will take the industry to a newer level and shall tap into the immense potential that has been explored only outside India.
Mr Sudershan Binani was a part of an esteemed panel of experts, who meticulously shortlisted the nominees for the awards amongst several entries that poured in to the panel’s amazement. He actively contributed towards the initiative, and was all praise for the FourPlus team on their efforts towards VP Awards. He mentioned that this is a great initiative taken by the VisionPlus team, and further he calls out to the optician fraternity to vote.
VP Awards initiative by FourPlus Media opens an informal, yet inclusive, channel of communication from the opticians to the distributors and brands, bridging all previous gaps. It is aimed at recognising the efforts and achievements of some of the most successful personalities and business houses of the Indian optical fraternity. But more importantly, it gives opticians across India, a voice.
The voting for the awards commenced on 1st January, 2014.
As observed on the 6th day today, votes are pouring in much larger than anticipated number.
