August 2013 Launch of Red Lotus by Zyloware

Unique women’s fashion eyewear collection designed to address fitting needs

RED_LOTUS_204z_205zWatching demographic trends and listening to retail requests for eyewear that is both fashionable as well as designed to fit, Zyloware announces the launch of Red Lotus by Zyloware.

The collection, which includes elements such as rich colors, animal prints, layers and engravings that match styling women want, specifically fits broader faces, flatter bridges, high cheekbones and/or wide foreheads. These unique facial bone structures cause problems such as frames sliding down the wearer’s nose, resting on their temples or cheekbones, sitting too high or too low, or feeling too narrow at the sides of their head or nose. These fitting needs addressed by Red Lotus, which are most often identifiable as needs of Asian Americans, are designed for women of any ethnic background.

RL-203M_094“Acknowledging and addressing a market need has been one of Zyloware’s greatest successes,” said Christopher Shyer, Zyloware President. “Listening to ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians and the voice of consumers, in fact, is one of the secrets to Zyloware’s successful 90 years serving the vision care industry.”

RL-205Z_240The collection features wider angles at the nasal area to accommodate wider nose features and wider curvature across the front to provide a better and more comfortable fit and keep the frames from touching at the cheeks and temples. The “S” nosepad arms are incorporated in the eyewear to allow the frames to sit farther from the face, reach flatter bridges and provide better adjustment to keep the frames from sliding down the nose.

RL-201M_077Red Lotus Eyewear, released in 6 styles and 14 skus, incorporates fashion design elements and includes styles made of handcrafted zyl with adjustable nosepads and full and semi-rimless metal.

The lotus flower has a deep symbolic tie for Asia, India and Egyptian cultures. The flower that starts off as a tiny blossom at the very bottom of a pond and slowly makes its way upwards towards the light is known to carry immense innate symbolism. The constant struggle of the flower and its eagerness to move towards the source of light is taken as a reflection of the meaning of rebirth and beauty.

Zyloware’s designers believe that with the proper-fitting frames, women wearing Red Lotus eyewear will feel and be more beautiful.

The Collection

All styles incorporate adjustable gooseneck nosepads and a wider angle of flair to accommodate those with a flatter bridge and high cheekbones.
