The 16th Daegu International Optical Show (DIOPS) 2017 is scheduled next year from April 20 to 22, 2017. The first deadline to participate for the exhibition was closed on August 31, 2016. According to DIOPS secretariat, global eyewear companies from Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, France have also decided to join DIOPS 2017. And over 50 percent of the space have already been booked.
The three day event will witness exchange of information as well as a well-planned setting for entertainment and gathering through its opening ceremony & VIP luncheon, overseas buyer tour, Global Optometry Conference (GOC) and Korea Eyewear Design competition.
The exhibition is already shining bright with huge participation of 222 companies, 1,500 brands and 30,000 visitors to be seen for the next edition of DIOPS. The optical exhibition provides a great opportunity especially for Korean opticians, optometrists, retailers and chain-stores to discover new trends, and enhance networking by grasping trends in technology and in the global optical industry market.
The exhibition products include frames, lenses, sunglasses, contact lenses, sports glasses, reading glasses, optical instruments, frame & lens processing equipment, optical measuring machine, display cases, lens cleaners, cases & accessories, etc.
Through the international optical show in Korea, the DIOPS secretariat has tried to promote competitive Korea eyewear to the world and enhance domestic market activation so far. By virtue of all these efforts, DIOPS has became one of the famous global optical show where more than 2,000 buyers from 30 countries visit every year.
Above all things, DIOPS is trying to make an attempt to promote new products, new materials, new design and brand of exhibitors.
From this year, DIOPS secretariat is focusing on promoting design and brand eyewear of the exhibitors. And it will have the special zone named ‘THE BRAND’ to promote Korean new and young design eyewear.
KOIA (Korea Optical Industry Agency), which hosts DIOPS, says that they focus on the online marketing to communicate with global eyewear brands and audience through mediums such as facebook, a regular e-newsletter, etc. Above all, DIOPS Secretariat provide overseas buyers and exhibitors with free accommodation for their convenience.
